For over 100 years, the United Hebrew Congregation of Joplin has brought together Jews living in southwest Missouri, southeast Kansas, and northeast Oklahoma. UHC is a member of the Union for Reform Judaism. We are a small but active congregation that takes pride in:
- Holding Shabbat services every week.
- Observing the cycle of Jewish holidays.
- Coming together to celebrate life cycle events.
- Offering a regular program of Introduction to Judaism and Adult Education classes.
- Promoting chesed (loving-kindness) and tzedakah (charitable giving and actions) within our congregation and within the larger community.
- Being one of the founding partners in an ongoing program of interfaith activities. This program was recently awarded a grant by the Men of Reform Judaism.
We offer a place for people to worship, learn, and grow together. Our services are open to all, and we welcome all Jews and their families as members. For more information, please contact us.
